GlobalGlobal kitchen knives were born in 1985 in Japan but were debuted in European markets by being displayed at first in Ambiente (Frankfurt fair) in 1988. It started with only 12 items for the first year. No one-piece stainless steel kitchen knives did not exist in the world market at this stage. So, we are convinced that we were a pioneer to have introduced a new concept of kitchen knives out of one-piece stainless steel in the world. Since then, new products under "GLOBAL brand" have been displayed in this Ambiente as well as in "Tendence" every year, thru which the fame of GLOBAL has spread worldwide year by year and at the same time the range of products have increased and reached to more than 100 items today.

The harder the stainless steel, the longer it retains a razor sharp edge, but hard stainless steel can be brittle. The I.O Shen corporation have solved this problem by wrapping two reinforced layers of softer, shock – absorbing Rockwell 10* steel around the core of ultra hard Rockwell 62*. All knives in the I.O Shen range have used the very latest technology to construct a blade that is not only amazingly sharp but will also retain their edge for a phenomenal amount of time. They have been hand sharpened to a 15* angle, which allows for wonderful slicing and portion control.
